Yo the Witch and the Halloween Hustle
Halloween’s Eve had arrived, and the air was thick with the smell of pumpkin spice and mild chaos. The moon hung low, glowing like a giant spooky light bulb. Somewhere in the forest, bats were gossiping about broom models, ghosts were rehearsing their jump scares and Yo the Witch was getting ready for her favorite night of the year.
She stood in her all-black outfit: a shimmering witch gown, pointy hat tilted just right, and boots that clicked like thunder. Her blonde hair peeked out from under the hat, glowing against the dark. “Perfect,” she whispered, admiring herself in her cauldron’s reflection. “Now… where’s Vanja?”
Enter Vanja, her ever-loyal (and slightly frazzled) assistant. Normally, Vanja would have been hiding under a blanket, binge-watching vampire dramas. But tonight, thanks to a small spell from Yo’s wand, she was in full-on enchanted helper mode following Yo’s every order like a magical cleaning machine.
“Vanja! Clean the windows they must sparkle like the moon!” Yo commanded dramatically. Vanja blinked, nodded, and started scrubbing so fast that even the spiders packed their webs and moved out.
“Good. Now sweep the floor but leave the cobwebs; they’re ambiance, darling.” “Yes, Mistress Yo,” Vanja mumbled in a daze, sweeping to the beat of the spooky organ music echoing through the house.
Yo floated around, sipping her pumpkin potion and humming. She loved Halloween the magic, the drama, and most of all, having an assistant who didn’t question why the broom sometimes talked back.
Hours later, the haunted house gleamed like a showroom for supernatural real estate. The ghosts applauded. Even the skeleton in the corner gave a respectful nod. Yo clapped her hands together in delight. “Marvelous! Vanja, my dear, you may rest.”
Vanja blinked, dropping the broom. “Wait… did I just polish the gargoyle?” Yo gasped. “That was my uncle!”
Moral of the story: When you’re under Yo’s spell, expect to work hard, shine bright, and maybe offend a few gargoyles along the way.
